A legend of its own, The Weirdo is a pioneer of a range of gourd lamps I designed in early 2017 with bizarre figures and gold color acrylic sections around these shapes giving these designs a distinctive personality. The success and the positive feedback I received led me design similar gourd lamps in late 2017 which you can see in this Amazon store. Those lamps are labeled 2018 under their headings.
The Weirdo has a navy dominant color scheme, a color which I believe brings elegance and style when used on any object. If you like navy and blue and have a decoration with the touch of blues and if you like matching colors in your living room, The Weirdo will surely compliment and complete the rest of the atmosphere.
My handmade gourd lamps have some common characteristics which I believe separates them from some other similar products. I open a circular hole underneath the gourd which means that you can place the lampshade on any source of light. Each different light source brings out a different appearance and reflections. You increase the wattage and the lampshade will present sharp reflections. Put them onto a red or green light, they will act as night lights. Use them with spinning LEDs and you create a party atmosphere. Calabash based gourds are lightweight and you can carry them around as you like. Basically, if you experiment with the source of light, you will have a lamp which will change as you wish which makes these lamps a lifetime company.
My lamps make unique gift ideas on top of their function as lamps. They are not common, each of them is handcrafted and you can't get them in every shopping mall. Gourd lamps are made by only a handful of artisans in the world.
